Festive Fun at the Festival of Trees!
4 Dec
Thanksgiving was nice, but we don’t have any fun pictures of that, so instead I’m going to focus on how my son and I spent the Saturday after Turkey Day.
For the second year in a row, we headed to Kennedy Kreiger’s Festival of Trees. The tagline for the festival is, “If Santa had a theme park, this would be it.” Yep. They pretty much nailed that.
The festival gets its name for the many decorated trees sponsored by various companies and organizations.
There was a craft table, which of course we had to hit up.
One of the best parts for us was the animal exhibit. We love creepy, crawly things!
That’s a 60-pound Tortoise! Whoa!
My son loved the snakes. It’s only a matter of time before he starts pestering me for a pet snake.
The festival also has rides.
The trees are great, but my personal favorite part are the many gingerbread houses. Some of them aren’t quite houses, but they’re all made of gingerbread, candy and other edible goodies.
It’s M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens!
We had a great time. If you’re in the Baltimore area, and you’ve never been to the Festival of Trees, you should definitely check it out next year!
Happy Holidays!
